Check out the Landkreuzer P1000 Ratte , A 1942-design tank the size of two 3-story houses, with twice the power of a top fuel dragster.

If you think this is enormous...which I certainly did...

The most important thing about that thing is that it was powered by Polish tears

That’s a pretty tank shame if anything happened to it

Have you ever played Sniper Elite 3? You get to destroy one that’s being fabricated by dropping the its own shells (suspended above it by crane) onto it.
Also, see the E100. A Maus turret (also planned to be used on the Ratte as the rear turrets) and gun mounted on a heavily-modified Tiger chassis. One chassis was finished before Allied capture and then scrapped.

Bomb no explode? Crash plane into tank better than gulag! Tank gun disabled? SMASH IS/KV/ISU TANK INTO TIGER/PANTHER/PANZER FOR GLORIOUS EXPLOSION.

Late war German designs are fascinating in that they are full of both brilliant AND terrible ideas.

I know if I was a German tanker there’d have been two things I’d wish for.
1. Jagdpanther
2. Western Front

Nah.
StuG IV Life or GTFO. Panther chassis were as reliable as an 80s British Layland Rover made on strike. Also, due to the muzzle brake on the 8.8cm, they were known to kick up dust upon firing and gave their positions away to enemies. StuGs were cost-effective and far more stealthy.

I’d take the added risks of the Jagdpanther on the Western Front. At least if I get knocked out and surrender it doesn’t spell death. Plus I’ve always liked the Panther.
Now on the Eastern Front I’d take a StuG for mobility, but towards the end of the war it doesn’t really matter if I’m in a Hetzer or Jagdtiger. Can’t compete against the Soviet numbers.

These guys would have adored it
It cannot go anywhere
It would destroy any road, and certainly could not go overland
The Maginot Line on tracks

Or a Sturer Emil with a spare MG42. The thing had no coaxial, so even though one of the two built it took out 31 goddamn tanks, it got captured. So if you add in Hitler’s buzzsaw, you might not be so fucked.

Could probably do with infantry support if you can’t slap an MG34 or MG42 on somewhere.
Sturer Emil is one of my main goals in WoTs right now, but I can’t stand the damn Toaster!
